Wildlife West Nature Park welcomes a black bear cub

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Wildlife West Nature Park in Edgewood has taken in a one-year-old black bear cub. The bear was found roaming around a ranch near Santa Fe and Wildlife West says it was obvious the cub had lost its mother because it was malnourished and struggled to survive in the wild.

The park says the cub is exploring its new habitat and eating two to three meals per day. The park is home to 20 other species of wildlife. Guests can check out the new bear cub and other wildlife in the park daily from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and when the time changes from noon to 4 p.m. For more information on Wildlife West Nature Park in Edgewood, click here.
