Woodburn’s Music in the Park features ’90s cover band Schwing this week

Hoping to revel in the waning summer heat? Look no further than Woodburn’s Music in the Park festivities Tuesday, Aug. 13.

This week, the Woodburn Recreation and Park Department is presenting Schwing, playing all the favorite ’90s covers. Based in Salem, Schwing covers it all, from grunge to pop and Americana to rock.

The throwback party begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Woodburn Library Park, 280 Garfield St.

And the fun doesn’t stop there: Visit local vendors for snacks while you listen, and don’t miss fun for the whole family with corn hole and giant Connect 4 at the parks and recreation booth.

This Tuesday is the final Music in the Park for the year. Earlier artists included Act 2 (pop and rock covers); Carrie Cunningham (country); Big Plans (blues and American roots); Phoenix (folk pop); and Castletown (Celtic music).
