BOSSIER CITY, La. ( KTAL/KMSS ) – The new LIVE! Casino & Hotel Louisiana will feature the works of local artists, and they’re hosting an open call to find the works to display throughout the venue.
The Cordish Companies, LIVE! Casino’s parent company said they partnered with the Shreveport and Bossier Arts Councils to issue an open call to the artists in northwest Louisiana for concept submissions.
Artists must be from Bossier, Caddo, Webster, Claiborne, Bienville, DeSoto, Red River, Sabine, and Natchitoches parishes and be on Culturalyst to participate.
Twelve local artists will be selected. A finalized version of their original piece will be on display throughout the 25,000-square-foot Event Center. The chosen artists will receive $1,000 for their work.
According to Cordish Companies the artwork can be any medium, it must be original, frameable and measure 36″ x 36″.
The deadline to submit your concepts is 4:00 PM, September 13, 2024.
All submissions may be dropped off to the Bossier Arts Council, at 630 Barksdale Blvd., Bossier City, LA 71111 or submitted digitally to the Shreveport Regional Arts Council .
