OKC City Council declares metro motel dilapidated

OKLAHOMA CITY ( KFOR ) — The OKC City Council voted unanimously to declare a metro area Rodeway Inn dilapidated during their meeting on Tuesday.

The vacant Rodeway Inn near I-35 and SE 66th St. has caught fire several times over the past few months. A significant potion of the motel has already been destroyed as a result of the fires.

The owner now has 30 days to secure the property and submit a plan of action to the city.

If the owner fails to notify the city of their plan in that timeframe, the city will demolish the building and bill the owner for the work.
