4 accused in Walmart shoplifting incident: Mobile Police

MOBILE, Ala. ( W K RG ) — Four Mobile residents are accused of shoplifting items from Walmart, according to the Mobile Police Department.

An MPD news release said officers responded to a reported shoplifting in progress around 8:36 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, at the Walmart at 101 East I-65 Service Road.

“Upon further investigation, officers discovered multiple subjects placing unpaid merchandise into shopping bags, before passing all points of sale on their way out the door,” the news release said.

20-year-old Syleria Monique King, 21-year-old Rayjah Shanae Johnson, 19-year-old Amauria Alexandria Anderson, and 19-year-old Stephen Marquis Mixon were arrested and taken to Metro Jail, according to MPD.

They all face an organized retail theft charge.

Johnson also faces a misdemeanor probation violation charge due to the incident, according to the Mobile jail log.
