Lower humidity, lower rain chances for the rest of the week!

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – A weak cold front will slide south of the area today helping to lower our rain chances, lower the humidity and lower the high temperatures over the next few days. Isolated storms are still possible today starting at a lunch time and stretching through the evening commute. High temperatures today will be in the upper 80s with heat index values in the 90s, instead of 100°+ like we’ve had in recent days. A dry night is expected tonight with overnight lows ranging from the upper 60s inland to the mid 70s at the beaches. We’ll be mainly dry Thursday and Friday with only small rain chances returning by the weekend. The heat and humidity will slowly return this upcoming weekend as we slip back into the 90s with heat index values climbing back into the triple digits.
