2 women, child escape stalled truck before train collides with it: CHP

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Two women and a child escaped a frightening collision with a train uninjured Tuesday afternoon just east of Bakersfield, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The collision involving the pickup truck and train was reported at around 3:05 p.m. at the train tracks at Edison Highway and Comanche Drive.

According to CHP at the scene, a pickup truck with two women and a child inside stalled out on the tracks. CHP said the group was able to get out and they were not injured.
