No Damage After Magnitude 4.4 Earthquake Rattles Southern Nevada Near Las Vegas

The earth beneath Southern Nevada gave a sudden, unannounced nudge yesterday as a magnitude 4.4 earthquake hit the region. The tremor, centered near Indian Springs about 30 miles northwest of Las Vegas, sent ripples of concern but fortunately, no reports of damage or injury emerged in its wake. News 3 LV reported that the quake followed several seismically active weeks throughout the neighboring Southern California area.
