Blue Cross Blue Shield opens community center in the South Valley

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Mexico held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday morning for a center they hope will help the South Valley. The insurance company calls it a Blue Door Neighborhood Center.

Visitors can learn more about health resources available to them as well as a community space. “This multipurpose room will have many functions. One of them will be classes on health and wellness. It will also be a room where fitness classes will be held. Yoga… Zumba as well. And health providers will be able to reserve this room, to provide health education,” said Community Affairs Concierge Aldo Garcia.

Blue Door said that their entire staff is bilingual.
