American Airlines flight headed for Rochester makes emergency landing in Syracuse for smoke in the cabin

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) – An American Airlines flight going from Boston to Rochester made an emergency landing at the Syracuse Hancock International Airport Wednesday.

The flight made an emergency landing around 3:20 p.m. due to smoke in the cabin. It landed without incident in Syracuse and was taxied to the gate by the airport’s Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting team, airport officials said.

Passengers were allowed to deplane at the gate.
