BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) —Sheriff Donald Youngblood joined 17 News at Sunrise for his monthly update.

Sheriff Youngblood discusses Kern County Sheriff’s Office inclusion with the crime suppression partnership, Mojave mass murder, cause of releasing repeated offenders, and a shooting that occurred in late March accusing deputies of using a cat as target practice.

The Sheriff also adds his excitement for the Kern County Law Enforcement Foundation upcoming events such as the golf tournament at Kern River happening September 6 and the annual dinner taking place in October, which will host Jay Leno as the special guest speaker.
