Onondaga County hit by 77 car thefts in one week, mostly by juveniles

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Seventy-seven vehicles were stolen in Onondaga County in the past week according to Onondaga County Sheriff Toby Shelley. Following the stolen vehicle incident that took place in Clay earlier this week, Sheriff Shelley called the car thefts and smash-and-grabs in the Central New York region “flat out wrong.”
