BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) – Family members are looking for community support after a loved one was taken from them in a tragic domestic violence incident. On Aug. 7, the family of Crystal Acevedo grieved after learning their loved one had been pronounced dead after suffering from a domestic violence incident that occurred on Aug. 3. Crystal, 36, was found unconscious in an apartment and was rushed to Kern Medical where she died four days later. This is an active homicide investigation, so limited details are available.
