BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – Firefighters are responding to a brush fire in northeast Bakersfield Friday, in the 12000 block of Pendulum Drive. Kern County Fire said that both city and county crews are fighting the flames in the area of Highway 178 and Alfred Harrell Highway. Highway 178 is closed at Alfred Harrell Highway, according to reports, but that is unconfirmed at this time.
