Hurricane Ernesto, as of the 5 AM update from the National Hurricane Center is a Category 1 hurricane made landfall as a category 1 hurricane in Western Bermuda. Hurricane conditions are expected on Bermuda throughout the day. Due to Ernesto’s large size and slow forward motion, strong winds will continue on the island through most of today in addition to dangerous storm surge, 6-9 inches of rain and large waves.
