Norfolk police investigate fatal shooting of 18-year-old

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Norfolk police are investigating the deadly shooting of an 18-year-old.

Friday just before midnight, officers were called to the 5100 block of E. Virginia Beach Boulevard for a report that someone had been shot.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found John E. Daughtry III, of Norfolk, suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.

Daughtry was taken to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.
