Landon Wells, a participating student, says he is eager to learn more about saving a life.

“I’ve played sports my whole life. I love playing basketball, I love playing football and I know how important it would be if one of my teammates fell down and went into cardiac arrest,” said Wells. “An AED can give that help and actually save their life.”

Health-related vendors also partook in the community day, aiming to inform and remind people to be mindful about their health.

“We are not the healthiest of counties,” said Rasham Sandhu, with the California Cardiovascular Institute. “So events like this and efforts like this, God-willing, will go a long way in promoting health in this community.”
