Storms lead to flooding, power outages across NE Ohio

RAVENNA, Ohio (WJW) — Storms rolled through much of Northeast Ohio once again Saturday afternoon/evening, just one week after five confirmed tornados ravaged the area .

Portage County was reportedly hit pretty hard with rain, leading to multiple reports of flooded areas. However, the Ravenna Fire Department confirmed to FOX 8 much of the flooding has receded in their area already and that things have quieted down.

The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for the following counties through 12:45 a.m. Sunday: Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake and Portage. Other counties are also under a Flood Advisory.

People are reminded to never drive through roadways that appear to be flooded with high water.

On top of the flooding, FirstEnergy reported thousands of their Northeast Ohio customers are without power as of 11 p.m., including about 2,000 in Lake County, 3,000 in Cuyahoga County and 800 in Summit County. See the latest on power outages right here .
