(WCSC) – Despite distant Hurricane Ernesto passing over 800 miles off the coast of South Carolina, large swell will lead to dangerous surf, and rip currents, as we head throughout the weekend. A High Surf Advisory is in effect for today with 4-6′ waves expected. There is a High Risk of Rip Currents too, and swimming is not recommended at the beaches today and Sunday.
