Strong, severe storms move through metro Atlanta and north Georgia

Strong and severe storms made their way through metro Atlanta and north Georgia on Saturday evening.

Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Ashley Kramlich says a line of storms pushed through northwest Georgia and into metro Atlanta.

She said the greatest threat was for heavy rain, frequent lightning and strong, damaging wind gusts.

All warnings in metro Atlanta have expired.

Severe Thunderstorm Watch across metro Atlanta and north Georgia has expired.

9:30 p.m.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has expired in Spalding, Fayette, Pike, Henry and Jasper counties.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning in Lamar and Butts counties has been extended until 10 p.m.

9:01 p.m.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for parts of Spalding, Fayette, Pike, Henry, Butts, Lamar and Jasper counties until 9:30 p.m.

9:00 p.m.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has expired in Coweta and Clayton counties.

8:20 p.m.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for parts of Spalding, Fayette, Henry, Coweta and Clayton counties until 9 p.m.
