RICHMOND, Va. — Tonight will be warm and muggy with a couple of showers around overnight. Lows will be in the upper 60s and low 70s.
There may be a few showers around early Sunday morning, with sunshine for the midday hours. That will boost our temperatures into the upper 80s to around 90. A muggy afternoon will ultimately produce some scattered showers and thunderstorms as a front approaches from the west. These storms will produce some heavy rain and could contain strong wind gusts.
Some showers will linger on Monday, along with the threat for a thunderstorm or two. Highs will be in the mid 80s.

Dry, cooler and less humid weather will be here the rest of the coming week. Highs will be in the upper 70s to low 80s, and overnight lows will be in the 50s to around 60.
Ernesto is now a tropical storm, moving slowly away from Bermuda, but still impacting the island overnight. It may regain hurricane strength as it tracks northeast into the open waters of the northern Atlantic before becoming a post-tropical storm.
