SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) – The city of Syracuse has been seeing a spike in summer violence and according to police, it’s all because of a rap video. “Two specific gangs that have been disputing ever since a rap video came out that started the whole thing and spiked our shots fired and our shootings and our homicides up from what we’ve been experiencing before,” Syracuse Police Chief Joe Cecile said.
