Florida Domino’s Pizza Shut Down After A State Inspection

Floridians who want a nice, predictable pizza might opt for chains such as Pizza Hut, Papa John’s, or Hungry Howies. Another option is Domino’s, but one of its stores – in Miami – was recently temporarily shut down after a state inspection.

About Domino’s and Its Interesting Florida Connection: This chain started out with one store in 1960. Today, its website says it is the largest pizza company in the world.

The small Florida town of Ava Maria exists today in part because Dominos founder Tom Monaghan invested $250 million into the town.

There are currently around 473 Dominos stores in Florida.

The location in question at 12225 SW 112 St in Miami earns mixed reviews, receiving 3.6 out of 5 stars on Google. Many complain about long wait times. A reviewer named Wendy wrote:

“Horrible experience. The order took 2 hours to get to the house. When it finally arrived, (after several calls to Domino’s), the food was old – not hours old – days old…Scarce meat and cheese…The only good thing was the Fanta. My family has always been loyal to Domino’s. Not anymore…”
