Motorcyclist killed in southeast Columbus crash overnight

COLUMBUS, Ohio ( WCMH ) — One person is dead after being involved in a motorcycle crash early Sunday morning in southeast Columbus.

Police said that at around 1:45 a.m., a motorcyclist was driving west on Refugee Road and approaching the Hamilton Road intersection. The driver of the Suzuki Hyabusa hit the raised concrete median in the center of Refugee Road and crashed.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene with medics arriving and finding the adult had suffered severe injuries. Police did not specify if the driver was wearing a helmet or not.

Columbus police’s accident investigation unit is investigating this crash.
