Minibike driver critically injured in northeast Franklin County crash

COLUMBUS, Ohio ( WCMH ) — A minibike driver was critically injured Saturday night after a crash in the northeastern portion of Franklin County.

According to the sheriff’s office, an off-road minibike with no lights or registration was going south on Cleveland Avenue just before 9:45 p.m. Simultaneously, a Honda was going north on Cleveland Avenue and preparing to turn. As the Honda turned, it hit the minibike.

One person in critical condition after stabbing on East Broad Street

The driver of the minibike was taken to a hospital in critical condition while the driver and two passengers of the Honda were checked at the scene. No one inside the Honda sustained any injuries, per the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
