PHOTOS: A look inside Georgia’s Saturday at Sanford Stadium

Georgia took the field at Sanford Stadium on Saturday to scrimmage for the second time this fall. It was an important one for a multitude of reasons. DawgsHQ’s staff expects it to be the Bulldogs’ final full speed in-game run through before UGA takes on Clemson in the season-opener. There will be plenty of hitting that happens in practice, but statements made on Saturday will carry weight with them as Georgia’s coaches are working to formulate a game plan and decide their depth chart for the top-15 battle between the Bulldogs and Tigers.

Georgia’s quarterbacks were the position to watch this time last year. It was after the second scrimmage that Kirby Smart named Carson Beck (15) the starter. This year, Beck is back for more while Gunner Stockton (14) hopes he can improve his skills from the backup spot in anticipation of a QB battle next year.
