Strong storms have developed just south of Birmingham, from east of Tuscaloosa into Bibb County, then over Shelby County near Chelsea and Vincent, into extreme southern St. Clair and western Talladega Counties. They extend further across southern Talladega County into Clay and Randolph Counties. 8-14 lightning flashes per minutes with the stronger cells.
