Home in NE Albuquerque goes up in flames, displacing owner

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A northeast Albuquerque home was significantly damaged by a fire early Sunday morning.

Albuquerque Fire Rescue (AFR) responded to reports of a house fire on Placid Avenue near Chelwood Park Boulevard just after 3:30 a.m.

Food and drink items that are highly restricted or banned in the US

Firefighters were able to get the flames under control within 45 minutes and rescue a dog in the process.

One person was checked out by first responders, but no injuries have been reported. The homeowner was displaced because of the damage.

AFR is still investigating the cause of the fire.
