The Rockies optioned Goodman to Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday. The move makes room for the reinstatement of Nolan Jones (back) from the 10-day injured list. Goodman has been with the big club since late April, but he saw his playing time decrease as he’s slashing .177/.219/.373 with eight home runs, 24 RBI and a 29.0 percent strikeout rate across 169 major-league plate appearances. Goodman will have the opportunity to tweak his swing in an everyday role in Albuquerque.
