Two Daredevils Win 2024 Race for the Rail Onewheel World Championship in Nevada

Future Motion proudly announced Austen Silva and Racheal Cecil as the winners of the 2024 Race for the Rail Onewheel world championship. The event, held at Sky Tavern Ski Area in Nevada, saw Cecil from Atlanta, Georgia, claim her third consecutive women’s title, while Silva from South Lake Tahoe, California, earned his first world championship title. Both riders took home Race for the Rail trophies and $10,000 grand prizes.

The competition featured a challenging, mile-long double-track course with steep terrain and wood features, showcasing the capabilities of the new Onewheel GT S-Series Rally Edition boards. Hundreds of riders nationwide competed for a chance to race, with just 26 securing invitations. The action-packed races can be viewed on the Onewheel YouTube channel.

Jack Mudd, Marketing Director at Onewheel, praised the winners, stating, “Rachael and Austen laid it all out there and will go down as legends for their performance.” Onewheel’s CEO, Kyle Doerksen, highlighted the sport’s rapid growth and the board’s impact on all-terrain riding.
