A new Wells Fargo branch is opening in downtown Stockton this fall.
The branch will open at Stockton Crossroads at 17 W. Washington St. next to Dutch Bros Coffee and the Sonic Drive-In, steps away from the Stockton Police Department. It will serve as Stockton’s main branch as the current branch on El Dorado Street is set to close next month, according to bank officials.
“The Stockton Main branch will close at noon on Sept. 13 and the Stockton Crossroads branch will open at 9 a.m. on Sept. 16,” a Wells Fargo spokesperson told The Record via email on Thursday.
The new bank is half a mile from the North El Dorado Street branch. Wells Fargo currently lists 13 locations in Stockton on its website. These include banks and ATM locations.
“Wells Fargo continues to invest in our branch network to serve the needs of our customers,” a Wells Fargo official stated. “In addition to our mobile app, online website, and ATMs, branches continue to play a vital role in Stockton.”
