ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Dominic Ayon, the man accused of causing thousands of dollars in property damage in Albuquerque’s Old Town will be held behind bars while awaiting trial.

Man arrested for hitting, killing traffic control worker on Highway 550 in Sandoval County

Ayon was charged with criminal damage to property after police say he smashed windows and doors at the Albuquerque Museum and other nearby businesses earlier in August. Damage included broken windows and doors and a business being set on fire. Albuquerque Fire Rescue is working to determine if Ayon is also responsible for the fire. Judge Cindy Leos decided to hold Ayon behind bars until his trial, citing his extensive criminal history.
