BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – A 59-year-old veteran in a wheelchair has died after he was killed in a hit-and-run while crossing an intersection early Saturday morning. The victim has been identified as Billy Ray Hall, Jr. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office says Hall lived in the Coalburg Community in Fultondale for several years. He was hit and killed around 1:55 a.m. while crossing Georgia Road at 52nd Way North in Birmingham.
