Jake Roberts is thrilled to be playing at home in Norman, Oklahoma

There is nobody more excited to be suiting up for the Sooners this fall than Jake Roberts. After bouncing around at both Baylor and UNT, the former 3 star recruit from Norman High School has arrived to play at his dream school. It will be exciting to see what the fifth year senior can do for the Sooners.

Here’s what Roberts had to say about his experiences with the team and his quarterback so far.

On how his training camp has been so far

Jake: Everything is going good. It’s good to be back out there. It’s been a long time coming. There is adversity that you don’t always expect but it’s really good to be back out there with the guys flying around.

On returning to Norman from University of North Texas

Jake: It’s a blessing. I’m really happy to be back at home and playing for my dream school. For every step of my career to lead me back to Norman, I’m super excited. Super blessed and ready to get this thing rolling this year.

On his impressions of Jackson Arnold

Jake: It’s great, he’s a dude. He can sling it for sure. It’s been great working with him. With him being a younger guy, I feel like I’m able to help him with the experience side of things. He’s got the talent, obviously and I just try to help him out where I can.
