Suspected DUI driver arrested after 4-vehicle crash near Tracy

(FOX40.COM) — A driver involved in a multi-vehicle collision in San Joaquin County Sunday night was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence, the California Highway Patrol said.

According to CHP, officers responded to a report of a crash around 6:41 p.m. near the intersection of 11 Street and Banta Road, just east of the city of Tracy.

Police said some involved in the crash sustained major injuries.

Officers arrested the driver of a black Infiniti which CHP said had been reported as a possible drunk driver by other motorists.

The driver is facing charges of driving under the influence “while causing serious bodily injuries to other parties involved.”
