“Found less than a mile away from the house in Watkins Glenn a homeowner saw him in the backyard this morning shared with her friend and she notified us. We were able to walk right up and pick him up. He is now back home. A lot thinner, but looks OK,” the Raptor Center of Tampa Bay said.

According to the Raptor Center , the owl escaped his enclosure sometime on Aug. 13. The center said they searched for the 4-year-old owl for several hours following his disappearance and were growing concerned for his safety.

“We have been searching for him 24 hours a day since that moment,” the Raptor Center told WFLA.
