JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Angie Nixon, D-Jacksonville, secured the Florida House District 13 seat on Tuesday, after winning a highly contested race against former Jacksonville City Council member Brenda Priestly Jackson. With 81% of votes counted, the race was called for Nixon with nearly five times the votes as Jackson.
