‘Well that’s just purr-fect’: VB firefighters rescue kitten stuck in car

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Many people love to hear their engine purr when they step on the gas, but for one Virginia Beach man the purring was a little too realistic.

The man stopped by a Virginia Beach fire station and told the crew he heard what sounded like a kitten stuck in his car’s undercarriage.

After a little investigating, the crew from Engine 18C did, in fact rescue a kitten stuck in the bottom of the car.

The kitten is safe and doing well, according to the fire department. It has been taken to a veterinarian to be checked out and it is being housed by a friend of a firefighter until a new home for the kitten is found.
