Clovis man dies in Bakersfield crash, CHP says

FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A 54-year-old Clovis man died in a crash in Bakersfield after overturning a Dodge Ram he was driving Monday, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP says that, around 11:51 a.m., officers received calls about a solo vehicle crash in the area of northbound Highway 99, north of Highway 46.

Investigators say the 54-year-old man from Clovis veered to the left into the center divider, then veered to the right, driving onto the shoulder where the Dodge Ram he was driving overturned.

The driver of the Dodge died at the scene.

CHP says It is unknown if alcohol or drugs appear to be a factor in this crash at this time.
