CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) — An armed individual who barricaded themselves inside a West Ashley residence was taken into custody early Wednesday morning.
Officers with the Charleston Police Department responded to a disturbance shortly after 9:30 p.m. off Royal Palm Boulevard near the Palm Apartments.
Authorities later said the situation involved an armed and barricaded person.
SWAT, negotiators, and several other special units responded to the scene and eventually took the suspect into custody.
No other details were provided.
