Look: Firefighters rescue dog from roof of California home

Aug. 21 (UPI) — Firefighters responded to a California home where a dog climbed out through a second story window and became stranded on the roof.

San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District said on social media that the Truck 31 crew, based in Danville, took the call. “Although nobody was home, a neighbor noticed a dog walking on the roof,” the department said.

Firefighters climbed onto the roof and escorted the dog back inside just as its owners arrived.

“Needless to say, they were happy that they didn’t come home to a dog on the roof,” the post said.
