LOXLEY, Ala. (WALA) – In some major economic news for south Alabama, a huge inland port broke ground in Loxley Wednesday, August 21, 2024. The 902-acre site is at the southwest corner of Interstate-10 and Highway 59 on what was previously Corte family farmland. The site will address a desperate need of industry in south Alabama.
