Fort Collins installing speed cameras around the city this fall

DENVER ( KDVR ) — Soon, driving 11 miles over the speed limit in certain Fort Collins areas will cost you. Fort Collins already has red light cameras to track violations at six locations around the city, but this fall, these cameras are getting an upgrade.

Following changes to Colorado laws, the city of Fort Collins announced it will use unmanned equipment to track drivers’ speeds. The city will use the red light cameras already in place to detect speed violations as well.

What happens if you get a red light ticket in Denver?

Once these cameras are installed, anyone who drives 11 mph over the speed limit will receive a violation.

  • Timberline Road/Harmony Road
  • South Lemay Avenue/East Drake Road
  • South Shields Street/ West Mulberry Street
  • South Shields Street/West Prospect Road
  • South Shields Street/West Harmony Road
