California Highway Patrol partners with Central California police agency to nab commercial vehicles

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) in Bakersfield teamed up with the Bakersfield Police Department for a focused enforcement operation on Union Avenue between SR-119 and SR-58. The operation targeted off-route commercial vehicles, distracted driving, and seatbelt violations.

During the crackdown, citations were issued for various infractions, including distracted driving, falsified hours of service, driving out of class, and unlicensed driving, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The CHP expressed gratitude for the partnership, emphasizing that the safety of the motoring public is their top priority. The collaboration aims to keep the roads and communities safe for all, the California Highway Patrol stated.
