Non-profit shuts down event planned by promoter linked to mass shooting venue

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBMA) – A non-profit operator says he pulled the plug on an unlicensed event planned for Friday night in Birmingham. Allen Mobley operates Felony Rehabilitation Association. He says he leases his building for events but says he didn’t know the event planned for Friday was unlicensed and promoted by the same person behind an event in Birmingham that ended in a mass shooting July 13. In a follow up to a series of investigative reports we’ve done since the mass shooting claimed the lives of four people and injured ten others, we found this other venue advertising similar events and parties.
