2 people stabbed at West Broad Street Pulse stop in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. — Two people were treated for stab wounds after a fight along West Broad Street in Richmond, VCU Police confirmed to a crime alert to the community.

“Police responded to reports of a fight in progress at the GRTC Pulse Bus Station. A witness reported that a victim had been stabbed during the altercation but left the area. The two victims were located with stab wounds and provided medical assistance for their injuries. The victims have no affiliation with VCU,” the Thursday afternoon alert read.

Police responded to the the Pulse Bus stop, in the 1000 block of West Broad Street, at about 3:19 p.m.

VCU Police alerted the campus community and urged people to avoid the area while police investigated. The area has reopened around the VCU/VUU Pulse stop and buses are running.
