Horry County police name suspects in investigation of violent crime, gang activity

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — Horry County police on Wednesday released the names and charges for 80 people arrested during a two-week, multiagency task force investigation that targeted gang members and violent crime.

Police said the investigation focused on areas mostly between Little River and Loris, with some activities branching into Conway and Myrtle Beach. Authorities said they pulled more than 50 guns and large amounts of drugs off the street.

Many of the charges listed are self-explanatory, but an Horry County police spokesperson said others are not.

“FTA is failure to appear in court,” the spokesperson said. “Wanted person or NCIC wanted means they had charges outside of our agency or area, so we do not have the charge type to provide.”
