Syracuse, N.Y. – For nine days, Deron McGee was in a hospital bed fighting for his life. The 15-year-old Corcoran High School student was taken to Upstate University Hospital in critical condition after being shot in the head Aug. 12 near the Parkside Commons Apartments on East Fayette Street.
