Warrants show nearly a dozen shots fired into car in killing near Loris Bojangles; 5 suspects now in Horry County jail, 1 still held in North Carolina

LORIS, S.C. (WBTW) — Nearly a dozen shots were fired into a vehicle near the Bojangles restaurant in Loris last month, killing one woman and injuring another woman, according to warrants released to News13 by police.

Six people are in custody and facing murder charges in the Aug. 7 shooting on Walnut Street that killed Kenasia Mart in, 22, of Greensboro, North Carolina and wounded a 26-year-old woman.

On Thursday, two of the three suspects being held in the detention center in Columbus County, North Carolina, were returned to Horry County and booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center.

Feleshia Ann Goodman, 24, and Ebony Shanall Vereen, 32, are charged with murder and attempted murder and are being held without bond. Vereen is also charged with possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Loris police said Friday they are awaiting extradition for Zarius Vereen, who remains at the jail in Columbus County. Lilly Janae Stephens, Lilly Janae Stephens, William Goodman and Antonio Goodman were already in the Horry County jail.
