Delivery issues continue to plague Conway post office, residents say

CONWAY, S.C. (WBTW) — Delivery issues have plagued the post office on N. Main Street in Conway in recent weeks, and on Friday, residents told New13 they are still having trouble getting their mail.

One resident who moved to the area in July said packages and letters still haven’t been delivered to his address. However, a U.S Postal Service spokesperson said Friday that it’s because of a broken receptacle and that managers at the local office have been working with the man’s homeowners association to repair and replace the receptacle.

However, the resident said his mailbox is OK and that he was told the carrier was delivering his mail to the wrong box.

Another resident who moved to Conway in April said she hasn’t received her mail since moving and that her neighbors also haven’t been getting their mail. She said postal officials told her their mailboxes need locks installed.

She said officials told initially told her they had new locks but no one to install them. However, she said she was recently told they did not have the correct locks. The woman said she has sent five emails to the Postal Service and that the only response is that they are working to fix the problem.
